Ray Anderson Counseling

Style

I'm generally good at reading my clients and getting to the underlying issues quickly. I have a relaxed, directive, and conversational style. "And how does that make you feel" is not something you'll hear from me very often. I'll listen, of course, but I won't hesitate to share my clinical impressions and thoughts. Insight and self-awareness are key. So are tangible strategies to help you get your life on track.

Training

I hold a master of arts degree in clinical mental
health counseling from the American School of
Professional Psychology at Argosy University,
Phoenix, Arizona. I am a fully licensed mental
health counselor in the state of Washington.

Experience

Have a relationship that's in trouble? Out of the service coping with PTSD? Struggling with depression, anxiety, or other emotional challenges? I have worked in the fields of psychology, education, and sociology for over 20 years. I've seen a lot in that time - from veterans adjusting to life back home to couples in crisis to seniors facing grief, loss, and aging issues. I even have experience assisting youth and families involved with CPS, foster care, and the juvenile justice system.
